FAQs

Is the SVG already converted to cut paths?

The SVG contains vector text positioned and kerned exactly as previewed. Import it into Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio and use "Ungroup to Letters" / convert-to-path (or your machine's font substitution) to finalize cut paths — this is the standard workflow for text-based cut files.

Why use negative letter spacing?

Tightening the spacing (negative values) makes connected script fonts read as one continuous line, which is what most "connected cursive" cut files are going for.

What sizes work best for vinyl or cardstock cutting?

Start around 60-100px in the preview, then scale the exported SVG up in your cutting software — SVGs are vector, so they resize without quality loss.
